MAJOR TOM & THE GIRL WHO CAME TO STAY

As promised, a special 2012-13 double whammy video release to commemorate BOOTIK’s first album & celebrate the upcoming second opus.

A  John Lennon favorite, ‘GIRL’ was recorded on the evening of 11 November 1965, the final night of work on the ‘Rubber Soul’ album.

A touching lead by Louis, some ‘artistic breathing’ by JF & a powerful C part by the whole BOOTIK bunch, spins this version to unheard heights without compromising the structure, mood nor spirit of this delicate song.

A fine piece of work indeed, just like, well... Most women ;)

As for the illusive Major Tom…
Given Bowie's penchant for creating characters for and about himself (Ziggy Stardust among others) plus his well-known battle with drugs, most Bowie experts agree that Major Tom is an allegorically autobiographical character.

Marc takes vocal command for this quirked tale of deep inner & outer space with panache. This ‘Thin White Duke’ classic closes the visual suite inspired by the hour long first album (yes it does clock at exactly 1:00 hour, 60 minutes, 3600 seconds & so will the second opus. But a totally self imposed, straight out of nowhere, BOOTIK rule ;)

Them BOOTIK’s videos should be viewed at any given opportunity ;)

Ground Control to Bootik central…

Congrads on a daring first album & may a deep felt funk grace one & ya all in 2013 !
